Design Build is a project delivery approach by which a single entity is
responsible for the design and construction of a project. Usually the contractor
selects the architect that best fits the needs of the project and who
provides input into the design process to assist in identifying value added
options or cost-savings options to the owner. This approach significantly reduces
time and simplifies the line of communication in a much more direct manner than
other delivery approaches.
